Moments are field recordings, soundscapes and electro-acoustic compositions which explore the musicality of public spaces, the collective and participatory role of the audience, and movements in duration (through very long compositions).
"The mosquito is also a tiny helicopter" is the live recording of Helikopter-Streichquartett by Karlheinz Stockhausen performed at La Monnaie de Paris in 2013.
Revolving around the composer's idea of community music making and interpenetration of multi-dimensions of sound, the recording offers a version of Helikopter that is shaped, augmented and transformed by the soundscape of the moment, the acoustic of the place, the audience's interaction and the various technical accidents that toke part during the performance. Including these external elements as legitimate musical events (considered to be the natural musicality of the random pattern of life), "The mosquito is also a tiny helicopter" is the collective moment of music making lead by Stockhausen's Helikopter context and live performance.
Other moments to come soon (audio under maintenance).
